Happy Thanksgiving!

I really love Thanksgiving. It's really great to get together with family and good food. I had almost forgotten how good the food that my grandma and aunt prepare is. Mmmm... I love stuffing and potatoes and turkey and sweet potatoes and pie, especially chocolate merange(sp?) pie.. and a sliver of pumpkin.

Anyway, Thanksgiving is also awesome because it is a time set aside to just be thankful for all of our blessings, now granted not many people actually do that... including myself...usually due to watching the many football games and such or whatever, but we as Americans especially and as people in general have so much to be thankful for.

Thank you God for your amazing blessings and for the sacrifice of your son, that we may be able to experience your blessings in the fullest.

Frosh Soph

... so this is a little late, but whateva.

Frosh Soph was awesome! It was great getting to know the frosh better, especially those that I don't see all the time... like the ones at CMC and Scripps. It was also a great experience to help plan and run the conference. The theme of the conference was "Why-con" or why the gospel still matters, this was a really great time just to meditate on the gospel and the gravity of what Jesus did for us out of his own free will.

So Friday night, Jonny gave a talk about sin that was really good and led to a good reflection time, but after worship, people were given more time to meditate about it and get prayer or talk to others about it and so I stayed in case people needed prayer. So Mikaila from Scripps stayed behind and I was able to talk with her about intimate things without even really talking to her before, it was an amazing time that God really used me and I was able to pray for and like instantly we had a really good relationship. Praise God!

On Saturday morning, the bible study leaders woke up early and went up to Mt. Baldy to pray and talk over the day, it was really awesome and a great bonding time, despite the cold. The day went really well, we had small groups and fun games and and Jimmy gave a talk about the cross that was awesome. In the afternoon we did a bible study on Collosians 1: 1-14, which is a bit ironic because my accountability group decided to memorize it like a week before. Anyway the study was really awesome and my group came up with some really cool insights.

All in all a great weekend.... yay froshes and sophses!

It's Been Awhile...

...since I posted.

Anyway, its always fun to connect random phrases to songs... I do that all the time. Its also been a crazy few weeks. Fall break was nice...then crazy screwdriver action...then San Fran with rugby.... then Halloween.... and the dismal E&M midterm today. But overall its been pretty good.

Dude, my suitemates are awesome. So for Frosh Chem prank, Renee and I made Rosemary's and Mariam's room into a jungle.. it was really sweet and so last minute. So today they got back at us by making our room like a camp... making the windows really dark with some black construction paper and one of my blankets and they put up glow in the dark stars and planets all over the ceiling and walls and but pineneedles and dead leaves all over the ground and used some chairs and a white sheet as a tent in the middle of the room. I think they just wanted to get us back for putting the needles all over their floor, ah well. Happy pranking ladies!
